We have switched to CSCOPE. A lot of time and resources are being used to ensure our teachers are getting all of the training they need. I spent a lot of time lately getting the training schedule sorted out so our teachers can attend the training. Everything has to be documented because we are using Title I funds to help pay for some of this. I am learning more about how detailed everything has to be for grant monies.

Yes, grants are wonderful until it is time to make a detailed report. If it weren't for the benefits that the students receive, I would have to ask myself "Is it really worth it?" The answer....Yes!
ReplyDeleteWe were looking into C-scope but the Board has instructed administration put it on hold. I think a lot of the teachers were a little hesitant to jump into a new curriculum. We are also looking at Margaret Kilgo very seriously.
ReplyDeleteWe are also working on moving to C-scope. We are spending this school year trying to establish buy in and allowing teachers to ease into it. Everyone that we have talked to says that the lessons are very detailed. What have you found in your experience so far?
